Karen Balauat, RN

Karen has been a nurse for over 20 years. Her child was quite ill during his younger years and was hospitalized numerous times. She witnessed how caring the nurses were and how their compassion and empathy made his hospital stay more comfortable. His nurses were incremental in his treatment and recovery. This experience inspired Karen to be who she is today. The highlight of her working day is interacting with and supporting her patients, families, and staff. She enjoys the great outdoors, from boating and paddle boarding on Florida's beautiful waters to hiking, enjoying the peace and quiet of the Tennessee Mountains, and riding motorcycles with family and friends
